Sunday, April 15th, CAGV will “Enlighten Our Community,” with its special guest speakers Nick & Amanda Wilcox at its 17th Anniversary Celebration. An elegant luncheon to celebrate the occasion will be served at the Santa Barbara Club, 1105 Chapala Street.

Goleta Presbyterian Church Peacemaking Offering made a generous contribution to CAGV of $500, which is distributed to nonprofit organizations that work effectively to promote peacemaking and nonviolence.

A man armed with an AK-46 assault rifle shot five uniformed National Guard members eating breakfast at an IHOP restaurant. Four people were killed and eight others were wounded in the attack. The owner of a nearby restaurant said, “This happens in third-world countries, not here.”
